Sermons
Preaching is one of Heather's favorite parts of being a pastor. Her goal is to both challenge and inspire her congregation as they live into their faith outside of the church doors.
Heather has preached hundreds of sermons. Below are just a few sample recordings of her leading worship services.

Easter Sermon:
"The Lord is Risen!"
This sermon was preached on Easter, unpacking the meaning of Jesus' resurrection: God's love will always prevail. As Easter people, we are called to put our faith into action out in the world by sharing God's love, instilling hope in others, and being the peacemakers.

Sermon:
"God Won't Give You More Than You Can Handle"
This sermon was part of a Lenten sermon series entitled, "Things Not Found in the Bible." We debunked several common Christian sayings around suffering and then explored the ways in which we can offer support to one another during challenging chapters in our lives.

Sermon: "God is Love"
This sermon explores what it means to receive, share, and appreciate God's love in new and transformative ways. This message challenges us to freely love others, especially our neighbors who may be different from us, knowing that it could change the world for the better.

Sermon:
"All Are Welcome"
This sermon delves into a great biblical illustration of there being a seat at the table for everyone. Who would you invite to your dinner party? What does it mean to be a welcoming church? God's table welcomes all people, no matter your story. This is how we create a welcoming and inclusive community of faith.

"Remember Your Baptism and Be Thankful"
An Interactive Sermon for Reflection and Discussion
Heather wrote and created this during the height of the pandemic. This fun, interactive sermon invites congregants to engage in self-reflection and discussion with others. This sermon was created to help affirm our sense of community in the midst of the pandemic.
